No doubt the EPL will consider the bid to be an endorsement of the worldwide attractiveness of EPL without any regard as to the long term implications this trend is having on the integrity of the league.

This is good news. After years of hating United, I was just starting to warm to them again and it doesn't feel right. This takeover, and the money they will spend, will put a stop to this.

Watching BBC this morning where Kieran Maguire spoke about the bid. Quarti bid promises to buy the club 100% and clear all debts, remember the current owners purchased by mortgaging the club. After that, money will be no object to win everything. Manchester City & United along with Newcastle & Chelsea just throwing £billions at winning. Whilst feeling sorry for the lower clubs, namely us, what about the bigger clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs who will never be able to live with the big 4. The 'lower 13' will play as usual to avoid relegation, a cup run or even the odd rare win against the 4 would be a season highlight. Mention of the ESL may be good again but would the EPL, whilst being fair and any team could win it, not be the same without the big teams?
Yes, I know where we are in the league today, but a lot of that is because Liverpool & Chelsea are rebuilding. In 2023/24 8th will be the best we can expect.
