These investors in Man City do not want to f*** about for 2 or 3 years in 5th / 6th spot - they want champions league and they have enough cash to do it.

The problem is that in order to break into the Top 4 you need 4 or 5 "special" players and other 6 or 7 good quality players.

By buying Given, Bridge, Barry, Santa Cruz, Wright-Phillips and De Jong they got the 6-7 but only have Robinho as a Galactico. The likes of Lescott, Richards and Ireland aren't better than Kolo Toure, Gallas or Fabregas so Arsenal still look a better bet for 4th.

City still need Tevez plus a top quality midfielder and top defender., Eventually the money will talk but they may need someone like Mourinho to make it happen for them.
