Well they didn't qualify for the World Club Championship, and there's no big International tournament this year, why on earth would you want to give your massively underachieving squad a break and a chance to regroup?

Lewis Dunk's form and injuries have often been up for discussion this season. Can't help but wonder how his season would have panned out if he hadn't spent the last close season as a glorified water carrier for Soithgate! I think there's a chance we may see the old Lewis next season after a bit of R&R, maybe.

The last two seasons have been dreadful for injuries and have coincided with significant US and Japanese pre-season tours. Maybe go for a weekend on the Isle of Wight or New Forest this year ???

’Enthusiastic’ comments making Malaysian and HK Chinese fans feel special:

Amorim has previously defended the post-season trip, calling it a "small sacrifice" which allows the club to "make contact with our fans around the world."

Defender Maguire has said: "It is the club's decision and we don't have any right to argue against it after the performances we have put on. As players, we have to take responsibility for the position in the Premier League and the money we have generated this season through that finish, which is nowhere near good enough. We don't have a right to stand here and criticise the club for trying to generate some money that will hopefully help us next season with signings."

And I'm guessing they were the most positive quotes from the 33 of them :lolol:

Maybe so, but it's not even 24 hours since the end of the season. Just the thing for those aching legs, a 14 hour flight straight after. Even in non-cattle class that is going to hurt in the morning
When you put it like that, the heart bleeds.

No - it really really does.

When will we hear the first bleatings of "the players are tired" and/or "there are too many matches"?

This is why I have no sympathy. The players are going abroad to play for no other reason than GREED.

What would be the point of that?

The manager wants more phyiscal presence, the best preparation is surely a pre-season team bonding punch up via a mini Irish tour.

We could send Pedro on loan to them for the summer. Then they wouldn't even have to go to Ireland for a punch up.

Old Trafford has now been given a 2 star food safety ratings after mouse droppings were found in hospitality areas.

This is an improvement on their 2023 rating, which was the lowest possible rating, of 1.

Haven’t they just poached our head chef?

No, I believe he was pan-fried.
