In the Evening Standard tonight..
Apparently Manchester City organised a poll on their website for the naming of one of the stands.
According to the results of the poll, the stand was to be named after an ex-City player.
However, the club believes that numerous Man United fans had voted originally and a new poll was organised by a City supporters club. The name of former manager Joe Mercer won on the poll.
Horrified City officials will meet an upset Colin Bell's family tomorrow to explain how the new stand would have been commonly known as the "Bell End".
