The sheer fact he though he'd get 2 tickets! You've got to admire his unBRIDLEd optimism...

I don't get why people think that's so odd. As long as it's not the rush hour, a pony doesn't take up much more room than a guide dog or a bicycle or a baby buggy. Plus, you can get guide ponies now (although they're much rarer than guide dogs), would a train company stop a blind person getting on train if their guide animal was a pony rather than a dog. Wouldn't they get sued? If he bought two tickets, he should be allowed on with it. We are trying to encourage more people to use public transport, but idiotic decisions like this means he probably ended up having to take the pony there in his car.

That last sentence made me laugh. Thanks for that.

Ireland 99 pre-season tour, we got the train from Dublin all the way across the country to Galway (where we were playing).

4 things that shocked me on that journey:

1) The carriage was wooden and had big holes between the floor boards (remember 99 not 59) .
2) Despite being wooden people were still smoking on it (remember 99 not 59) .
3) A bloke got on at some stop in the middle of no where with a goat!! No one apart from us seemed to find this odd.
4) The Taxman's guts that day! It's not possible for that much shit to come out of one person.

Lots of guide ponies these days, on trains, in supermarkets and even in schools...

It was our story .... the thing is the car park is wide open to public view and entrance and lobby is tiny .. the CCTV footage is amazing .... mind you I caught a guy yesterday putting two dogs into his shopping trolley to go into Sainsburys in Wrexham.. think he wanted to trade them for some fresh lamb
