In rehab
McGhee had to go.There's no point slating him.I've had some good times and bad times with him in charge.I'm much more happy with Wilkins and i believe the club in general is.Hope Mcghee gets another job soon

This club has had 4 excellent managers in recent years, with the blip of the luckless Hinshelwood in the middle, and now has what looks potentially like another good 'un. It's pathetic for Albion fans to slate any of them imo. There are some Albion fans that need to take a reality check, we have been blessed in comparison to every other club in our position over the last few years.

Slagging off any of them shows a complete lack of understanding for what they have done with the cards they have been dealt. I was happy with all of them and am aware that we could have been a Darlington or Leyton Orient which would have given us something to have had a good moan about. Having a good team is a bonus not a right and for the most part we have had great times recently because we have had GOOD managers, Mark McGhee was definitely one of them:clap:

So good in fact that I'm sure that he will be snapped up by another ambitious club in due course.

No answer. See, London Oirish can't face up to it that McGoon was crap and LEON should have been manager as well as striker.

.......and mcgoon should have been the one thrown off the bus to find his own way home !

Marking your card for the future, if I don't reply it's because the comments are too asinine for words.

Probably right, but for me it's quite appropriate that as we look towards the 3rd round tie for probably our game of the season, we can happily recall Upton Park as one of the great victories of McGhee's Albion    As ever, Wilkins has a hell of an act to follow here, best of luck to him.

You are a complete moron. McGhee did do a good job in difficult circumstances or were you calling for him to be sacked after we stayed up against Ipswich.

He tookover a team dropping after Coppell left and without Henderson and Rodger and then took us up and kept us up. Maybe towards the end he lost the plot a bit but he still achieved a lot with the club and selling our best players did not help. Would anyone have given a second thought if Virgo had been let go during the first half of the play off year. Yet we got £1.5 million for him in the end.

Wilkins is doing a good job but I bet you were one of the people having a go at him after Blackpool. I was just gutted that we were doing so poorly and am really pleased that we have improved. Unlike some people on here I would never want Brighton to lose whoever the manager was.

Why not just accept that McGhee gave us some good times and then lost it a bit, get over your bitterness and get a life!!!

I'm no McGhee lover, but what's the point of gloating? Besides, if you take away the wins in Mickey Mouse competitions and the wins against Mickey Mouse teams in proper competitions, then Wilkins record remains more or less unproven in the League. Two excellent wins oop North, and some well patchy performances at Withdean. Let's do the comparisons at the end of the season innit.

"marking my card for the future"

LI, I barely mark the names of posters who do make the occasional pertinent points and well-rounded arguments - so I'm hardly going to bear what you have to say in mind!
