I just went to the fridge here at work ( a bit studentish to be honest) and took out my pack of fresh ham to make a nice sarnie ( colemans English mustard naturally, on granary )
a blue bottle flew away from the ham . . . . . I took a very close look and could see maggot eggs on a slice of ham
needless to say I removed the offending slice and washed the eggs down the sink, ditched the offending slice and resumed sandwich fabrication.
I went through every wafer thins slice very carefully, I've never inspected ham at such close quarters before !
anyone got any fridge horror stories ?
