Night boat to Cairo,The Prince ,Baggy Trousers were all great but they did do a lot of shit.Id say 28 years or so past there sell by date.

I've seen them a few times. I go to tons of gigs, love tons of music and I have to say the two most regularly fun bands to see are Madness and Iron Maiden. Some bands are great because they are precious about their art, some are just bloody good fun and can bang out hit after hit after hit with everyone joining in.

That is fair comment, but musically what they are doing now is a bit shit

Been a fan since my youth, seen them live loads of times. Was not too impressed by their "Wonderful" album (although Drip Fed Fred with Ian Dury is a good song), but their latest album "The Liberty of Norton Folgate" is brilliant imho.

"There's a Chinese man trying hard to flog you moody DVD's, you know you see the film, it's black and white, it's got no sound and a man's head pops up & down right across your wide screen TV - only a fiver!"
