MAC Help Please

Hello NSC Apple friendly people I need some help.

Have a standard iMac and had a power cut this afternoon as the lovely gas people who are creating havoc round here severed the mains power.

Well have re-set all the clocks etc but my MAC seems to think the date today is the 26th August, no idea why but cannot work out how to re-set it.

Any ideas and I have already turned it on and off

System Preferences under the Apple left hand side

Go to System Preferences (from the Apple in the top left) > Date & Time and set it from there.
