Kind of glad I picked up Linux when I did all those years ago, it's not to everyones taste I know, but at least I have the option of not having to use Windows or Mac. I hate the idea of being locked down to one system, not having the freedom to install the OS on any machine I like, and the requirement to keep upgrading the system so it can handle the next operating system. I'm still using the latest Linux on a laptop that's 8 years old. Each OS has it's strengths and weaknesses.
