One of my colleagues lives in those houses. He refused to be evacuated, told me if it was going up, he was going with it

It was a 'suspect package' It turned out to be the bat awareness boxes affixed to the bridges.
The police and Highways Authorities were told about them but apparently had forgotten when the 'suspect package' was reported and so closed the A23 down whilst investigations were made.

I do hope we have Bat Awareness boxes, whatever they might be, across the A27 bridge at Falmer.

Given how concerned LDC and their cronies were for the local bats at the enquiry.

Clearly the 'bat awareness' programme needs to be replaced with a 'bat awareness box awareness programme'.
