M1 Watford Gap to Doncaster?

Despite all the rest of my normal travelling group being otherwise engaged, I'm keen to get up to Donny on Saturday.

Would anyone going up the M1 have room from Watford Gap Services in Northants for me to tag along?

Happy to provide a tenner towards fuel + wine gums!

According to Google Maps, its 2 miles shorter and 15 minutes quicker to go up the M1 - just go up the M18 to Doncaster. Given the roadworks on the M1 at Luton there's probably very little in it either way - but I don't know if there are also raodworks on the A1.

Definitely using the A1 for this as it cuts out the worst bit of the M25.
