Right, can anyone explain how missing two sitters, one from 2 yards out in the first half, and the other when one on one with the keeper, can warrant getting the man of the match award? ???

Sitters?

Can't remember the first one, but the second one he had a LOT to do and did very well, but for some last gasp defending or a good save.

Didn't deserve m.o.m, but come on!

Superb hold up play.
Lead the line magnificently.
Out jumped and out muscled two very physical centre halves and took his usual amount of punishment.
Brilliant turn and pass for the Barnes volley.
Clearly the most skillful player on the pitch.
Numerous flick ons that Barnes didn't take advantage of.
Second half miss - just got away from him when he'd done the hard work (unlucky)
First half miss - not a sitter

Absolutely nailed on MOTM

Murray's movement and holding up of the ball was superb today, he got himself into the right places, he set up Barnes's goal with a perfect cross and throughout the game showed himself to be one of the best crossers of the ball at the club, which made a superb change from our usual aimless floaters straight on to the head of the first defender.

I presume you're suggesting that, as a striker, if he doesn't score, he can't possibly be the best player on the pitch, which frankly displays an embarrassing lack of footballing insight.

Thought he was very good today- yep, he diverted that goalbound shot over the bar but you can't score every game, and as a striker you want him to be going for stuff in the box not standing watching. He was dominant in the air as well as showing some lovely touches on the ground. Far, far superior to anything Walsall had up front, even though fatty Macken curled that late one in (yeah, thanks for that, ref).

Yes sitters. The first one, Bennett free kick searching for far bottem corner Murray get his foot on it 2 yards out and sends it over, Ashley barnes was right behind him certain to put in in the net.

2nd, Through on goal, all he needs to do is slot it under the keeper, decides to try and take it round him. Why!?

Bennett. Murry's main job is to score goals. Today he cost us two goals, And still idiots seem to think he played brilliant, he can do no wrong in many peoples eyes.

Yeah, except that anyone with half a brain and two eyes could see that Bennett had a pretty poor game by his standards today.

One of his best performances just needed a goal to make it complete. He now looks very fit and hungry and provided an excellant ball for Barnes to put us in front completely split the defence in half having spotted him in the first place. 2nd goal was a good cross from him that laid it on the plate for Painter. MOM performance.

Ask Walsall's defenders who they least enjoyed playing against today and I will lay money on it they will say Murray.
