News just in...

Championship side Luton Town have announced they will be organising an open-topped bus tour of the Bedfordshire town, to show off the trophy won so thrillingly in their cup final victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday.

The parade, which will be followed by a civic reception at Dunstable Town Hall, will allow the players to lift the stunning Simon Jordan-John Harbin Schadenfreude Trophy in front of hundreds of adoring fans, as they rejoice in their victory over the Champions-elect.

The bus journey, due to start at 11am next Wednesday, will take in such scenic local landmarks as the Vauxhall plant, the Bedford vans factory, and the Luton Parkway mainline station.

Fans are urged to get there early by Luton Chief Executive Dermot Fnnnarrrr: "Chances for minnows like us to beat giant, popular, skilful, steamrollering, Championship winning sides like Palace in our Cup Finals are few and far between, so make sure you reserve your place if you want to catch a glimpse of that trophy!".

Wonder what Palace's players did with their runners up medals?

:p

"2-1, in your Cup Final" is going to haunt Palace all season, I fear.

I fear?? Hang on, I mean "I pray"!

Astonishing that anyone else could have made the same simpleton error as Palace's copywriters, even if they are Americans.

Perhaps we should forward it to Palace they might take comfort in the fact that someone, somewhere is as, er, special as them

:p
