Luton deducted 20 more points

But not surprising with the FL rules as they are; was there really any choice?
The League/members need to come up with some equitable rules concerning creditors and a procedure allowing clubs to exit administration that does not continue to antagonise the HMRC, who will continue to vote against every CVA otherwise.

The appeal they lost was for the 10 points deducted for flouting FA rules on player transfers etc. This was not an appeal against the 20 point deduction for not agreeing a CVA.

IMHO they deserve the deductions. They broke a multitude of FA rules in player transfers and agreeing they did doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished. And the 20 point deduction also pointed to the fact they have been in adminsitration several times over the past 7 years so a heavier punishment was recommended and adopted. They have I believe accepted the 20 point deduction so they will now start on -30 next season.

Unless they are Leeds and accept the punishment then launch proceedings against the league just because they feel hard done by.

So they'll need somewhere in the region of 72 points just to stay up

You have to feel a bit sorry for them but rules are rules. Let's face it they are hardly any different to Leeds and very few people give a toss about them.

-20 for the cva ok, not a lot can be done about that and I think even the club accept it, the -10 for illegal payments was the old board and not even the same Luton Town as the one in charge now, as has been said its like buying a used car and because the previous owner broke the law by speeding you end up with the fine and points
