How times have changed. I always used to think that we were on a par with Swindon in terms of fanbase and potential. Certainly the Swindon fans thought so after their comments about Greer joining us. That season we stayed up on the last day against Stockport they were play-off finalists. The very first game of the next season was against them at their place and I remember going there with my young son and us both thinking we'd be lucky to get a point. Smith (can't remember his first name) scored, we won 1-0 and the rest is history.

Has your memory taken an Easter vacation? We beat Stockport in the last game of the 2008-09 season. It was TWO seasons later that we played them on the opening day of the season, on August 7 2010, when Matt Sparrow scored twice in a 2-1 win.

Christ on a bike. I've got that completely wrong. I am v sorry about that! In my mind, it was a 1-0 win with Smith scoring. And I was there completely stone cold sober with my then 11 yr old son.

Of course it can't be the season after Stockport - Slade was manager then. I'm going to crawl into my hole now.

I can never quite understand why, but I've always had an irrational dislike for Swindon Town. It will never be disappointing watching them fail.
Hit the bar, hit the bar, hit the bar.

There is nothing irrational about a dislike of Swindon

I remember getting absolutely soaked standing in the uncovered away end and getting stuffed 3-0 but not sure if it was the same game!
