This is quite amusing to read twelve years, 583 games, 43 goals, 93 assists, 4 La Ligas, 5 Spanish Supercups, 6 Champions Leagues, 5 European Supercups, 5 Fifa World Club Cups, 1 UEFA best Player, 1 Fifa Best Player and a Ballon D'Or later. He was 27 when they signed him and they've got 12 seasons and counting for their £35m. He's played 48 games for them already this season at the age of 39!

Too lightweight, doesn't create, does score. Poor man's WBG. Mark my words.

I think this is an example of players needing time. Was considered an awful signing, is now considered to be one of the best to play the game.

One of the best, he doesn’t seem to need to run, just vaporises and reappears exactly where he needs, doesn’t pass he caresses…

I’d love it if he replaced Milner as our permanent injured 🤕 oldie… as I doubt he’d be perma injured at all 😂

Mark Hughes.

Michael Owen.

Kaka.

Didn't work out for them in Spain either.
Owen did okay at Real Madrid. He was down the pecking order mind. He was a decent signing, I don't think it did his career a lot of good though.

This trend of bouncing highly irrelevant old threads with new information about the player is bizarre.

Is there no way to auto lock threads that haven’t been used for a year?
