I was concerned he wasn't going to sign a new deal but a very good source on here told me a few weeks ago he was very close to agreeing terms which eased my fears.

Signed a new three and a half year contract ,good news in my view but just hope he doesnt take his foot of the pedal just because of a new deal .Seems CH likes his style of play .

Marvellous news, Our only DISRUPTIVE player...
CH can see this after a few scouting games what Dryypia couldn't see after watching him 100? times in training & matches
Well done Chris!!!

Hughton Effect.

Maybe.

Delighted, either way.

Listening to Hughton's comments it seems this was already being sorted before his arrival, so maybe not Chris' doing but his arrival may of been a factor in Kaz actually signing it.

Either way great news IMO

Nice to see the club being proactive in taking care of one of the few difference makers on the team. Whilst I still think he is a more effective attacker when used as a second half sub, there is no doubt that his 90 minute play has also improved beyond measure. In my opinion Kaz is one of the most effective backtrackers in the team, his defensive work can sometimes be as important as his forward play. He plays without fear. This new contract is excellent news for us, I'm delighted.

very much a head v heart internal debate for me with kaz
a very entertaining player
but his goal and assist ratio not so good
for me the best players which play wide on their weaker side
have the same skill sets
tight dribbling control cutting inside towards bodies
as opposed outside into space
and a controlled in swinging finish to open up the goal
from a wide position.
I would like to see him operate on the right "some" of the time
where he can go past players and cross with his stronger foot
and make runs to the back post to finish left wing crosses
with his stronger foot.
Hopefully with a long contract and another run in the team
he can mature into a more effective wide attacker
but at least we will have some exciting moments from a
brighton player to look forward too even if he will never
have a classic wide player playing on his weaker foot attributes
of an ramen robben say.

Appalling attempt at iambic pentameter

I've been a critic of his but feel in the last 12 months he has improved immeasurably. He applies himself defensively (even if he isn't the most natural) and is one of the few game-changing, exciting players we have on the books. Great news for the fans.

I just hope that he keeps up his rate of recent improvement with the security a longer term contract offers.
