What's it all about anyway?
Be honest, is there anyone on here (that goes out to work for a living) that wouldn't apply for a job that they thought was better than the one they had (better rewards / challenge / development / opportunities) without even telling their current employer?
That if they got the chance of an interview they would attend (day's holiday / throwing a sickie) without telling their employer and then, and only then, if they got the offer and they wanted to go they would resign.
They wouldn't stay because of loyalty, because of all the money the company threw at their recruitment, training and development.
They'd be off, because to be honest, you're only here once and you want to make the best of yourself and for your family.
Having said all that, I hope he stays !
