Bloody women drivers....mind you,when she unzipped her fire suit.....used to live near Santa Pod......(Irthlingborough) before moving to Wellingborough and often used to watch the cars....ex US Bomber base.... Oh! the roar of engines,but never saw women drivers undressing...

Apart from the bint not having any Nomex underwear, the real humorous bit is the cameraman being rooted to the spot as he watches the Grim Reaper flying towards him. :lol:

What is the point of drag racing exactly? To go faster than the other car, obviously, but it invariably ends in someone exploding, and as a spectator sport you get about 15 seconds of action and then a parachute. Or an explosion.

It's the purest essence of motorsport. Who is quickest from here to there? No roundy-round processions. And it's bloody loud.
I have been lucky enough to see NHRA at Maple Grove - a full day of top drag racing with fuel cars running under 5 seconds. And I was around to see Sammy Miller's Vanishing Point rocket car- 1/4 mile in under 4 seconds in near silence.
