BBC2, tonight at 9.

Theroux's programmes are normally a very interesting watch, although the subjects he tackles can make for difficult viewing at times. I expect more of the same this time around.

Anyone else tuning in?

Watching it now. Love the way he pauses to let the interviewees actually talk!

These guys he's talking to are basically white trailer trash. We would call them pikies or chavs!

yup love his programmes. cant believe children can be born addicted:ohmy:

Yup, children can be born addicted...anything that an expetant mother pumps into her system (alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc) also goes into the bloodstream of her unborn child...thus children can be born with an addiction, often they have a lower than normal body-weight or may even be born premature.

The mother of a former girlfriend of mine fostered children, during the time I was seeing her she had twin girls aged about 8 or 9, they had been removed from their mother who had a severe alcohol problem...the girls were born with brain damage, behavioural problems and were far smaller than they should have been at that age. Goodness only knows what the effects crystal meth has on babies developing in the womb, I am guessing that it isn't a good thing!

damn it! forgot this was on due to discovering today that ESPN is free for all Virgin Media customers throughout August (baseball is a more than slightly hypnotic sport).

Will presumably crop up on On Demand, will catch it then.

sometimes i wish he'd give people a harder time and a bit of a grilling to make them wake up but of course it's not his place to pass judgement.

Brighton factually.....
Loved the women on the black power movement and he saw those chaps in full fancy dress gear and had him read out famous people from English/British history and they would say they were black ie past queens and kings also from Shakespeare through to Tom Jones. There evidance at one stage was brass rubbings which proved that they were black !!! So funny
