How many times have you seen your team lose a certain victory?

England versus Germany in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico is the most memorable.

The most upsetting for me was Albion versus Liverpool at the Goldstone under Barry Lloyd's reign. I despaired when he made the substitutions that lost the match. But then Sven did the same thing and Alf Ramsey in 1970 (my memory is a bit faded: didn't he take Bobby Charlton off?)

Don't make multiple substitutions when you are winning with a few minutes to go. OK, one in a pre-arranged plan, but the new players take some time to get up to the pace of the game ...

Was that the game where Mickey small had a perfectly good goal ( back header ) disallowed in extra time?

not snatching victory but talking of a injury time double makes me think of sid's last goals in abrighton shirt and his 2 in a minute for us at withdean against burnley that bought us back from the dead to 2 2

we came close to doing this earlier this season when having clawed there way back to 3 3 with a last minute frillo goal lee hodges then hit the post with a 25 yarder as plymouth so nearly snatched a 4 3 win after trailling 3 1 with 10 to go

Lots of last minute equalisers gained and suffered, but not often that you on to a certain winner and then out of the competition in a minute or two.

Albion were 0-2 to Liverpool at Anfield in the first match, so it could have been a match Liverpool let slip.

Not that the Albion have not lost a certainty. Danny Wilson scored a first half hatrick against Aldershot and Albion contrived to lose a 3-0 lead, winning the game only 3-1 and losing the replay 0-3 (the worst detfeat in Albion's history: my opinion).
