Apologies if I`m mistaken here but why close a thread because someone mentioned Muslims.
Getting silly now, and pandering to the scaredy cats.

Pathetic:wave::wave::wave:

Starting a thread to attack another poster? Getouttahere.

Well done El Pres, I'm worn out by the constant bigotry on here. People were obviously hoping it would go into meltdown. Why they have such a need for conflict is beyond me.

I must admit I was looking forward to a good discussions on the use of referenda (like the Swiss model) as opposed to having all decisions taken by a parliament. In other words is democracy about what the people want or what the political elite want? Should we be allowed a say on every important issue or should we just vote once every five years for a broad package of policies (some of which you might not like and the ones you do like the government might renege on) and then shut the f*** up for another five years? In between elections our political input is simply to protest impotently (like people did against the Iraq war). One result of that is that people then treat local elections as glorified popularity polls for the government in Westminster instread of voting on local issues.

It sounds like I'm in favour of government by referenda - but then you do get decisons like the Swiss one and the almost certain knowledge that we'd have capital punishment in Britain if that were put to the vote and you realise that the elite's contempt for the intelligence and wishes of the general public can occasionaly be beneficial.

So I dunno. The general view of the political classes is that referenda are 'bad' partly because the public can't be trusted - a bit like el pres doesn't trust the surviving members of NSC.

Bozza has made it clear that there are some topics which are off limits.

I'm as pissed off that issues relating to race and religion cannot be debated in an adult manner as much as anyone else, but the reasons are clear. The likes of bushy, cov and The Spanish take a different view to me, but there is a degree of respect within the discussion, although we all know our views will not be changed.

However some twat took things further on here, decided to go to the police and make a complaint, it could have been for fun, it could have been more serious than that.

By all means call me a licker, but if it was me running what I personally consider to be a fantastic service for Albion fans, and then having to deal with a police investigation, potential litigation, and being on the news pages on the Argus I would be sorely tempted to chuck it in.

So if that means I'm a prick, fair dos. I frankly couldn't give a flying one.

I don't blame El Pres........it's just the way it is, because of Left-wing activists.

A few more decisions like happened in Switzerland, should eventually re-dress the balance, and hopefully in the future we will be allowed free speech again.

Wnen I saw the Inconvenient truth thread. I thought about posting Griffins speech to the EU. I wasn't sure if this would break the new rules on here.

Also when the general election comes will there be the usual. "Who you going to vote for" threads minus the BNP option.

You're quite correct - it's getting silly, but don't pin it on El Pres. Blame the bloody PC brigade and loony left wing government. But of course, we aren't allowed to discuss this type of thing in public anymore as it upsets someone somewhere :tantrum:

The Ironic thing is that as EL said that even though we have a difference of opinion most of the sensible posters had a respect for each other.

I'm worn out by the constant politically correct obsessions of the right on clique on here.:tosser:

It is nothing to do with that. The board is being monitored, there is potential litigation if the police take things further, which is costly in terms of time and money.

Under those circumstances what would you do?

If you are looking for someone to blame, have a go at the wanker who reported NSC to the ROZZERS, because if he/she/it had not done so, the thread would not have been closed.

Lighten up El Pres, I'm not blaming you and I know moderating a board is difficult and a labour of love for those that do it. Isn't it absurd with crime levels the way they are that the police have the resources and time to monitor footy forums?

So I don't blame you but I do blame the wanker who reported NSC to the ROZZERS, as you so apthly put it.

The problem is we are not allowed to say anything against a religion in this country as the political correctness does not allow us to do so. In Switzerland they have basically said balls to that we ain't putting up with it. However in this country we will cow cow to every minority.

Not EP's fault just a sad state of the chicken liver country we now live in.
