I don´t think his short time at Brighton defines his career, it just didn´t work out. An absolutely fantastic manager who got the best out of workhorse players, in a similar way that Micky is trying to do

Andy Rollings once said that, after shortly Cloughie has signed him, he told him "Now then young man, as far as I am concerned, there are two types of footballers, there are violinists and bricklayers - and I can't ever imagine you with a bow in your hand..."

Clough was a complete wanker here, he took the money and did sod all. He even miised a match to go and watch a boxing match in Las Vegas. Whatever he did elsewhere I still think he's a shithead.

Clough was a good manager but he was a great manager when he had (The other) Peter Taylor with him!

PT never really got the credit he was due. It was he who built the side that Mullery inherited.

Don't get me wrong. Mullery did well to get up us up to the top division but he inherited a good side from Taylor and a very supportive chairman in Mike Bamber. (Focus bloke please note!)
