Good for them. Would like to think that first team players might be represented in future.

It is interesting that only the woman's team sent players......

As a gay fan it bothers me little if clubs support Pride, although in terms of a welcome to the flock Manchester City have blazed the trail. All that really bothers me is that the juvenile, knob headed scrottes who submerge themselves every form of 'bia' and 'ism' are made as unwelcome as possible at games. For that I think Albion do a good job.

And club officials. It's a start, and by no means would you expect them to. It's a nice thing to do to support the commity.

I agree with you but by every area of the club apart from the men's first team sending a delegation, it somewhat highlights the issue as opposed to showing how inclusive LFC are.

Would LOVE to see the Albion supporting Brighton Pride.

i've seen albion players at pride events before.....maybe the club don't feel the need to officially support it?

brighton pride is becoming less and less about sexuality and more and more about raking in the pounds each year anyway....it's probably a bigger deal in places like liverpool for the football club to support a pride event than it is in brighton

Or, and I feel far more likely, they feel the need to at least be looked upon as PC after last seasons episode.

Agree with this, however even if there is an element of cynicism associated with it then I don't really have a problem with that. Ultimately it all helps with consciousness raising amongst an (typically and historically) anti part of society, which I feel is to be welcomed.

Truly excellent news. Let's hope the Albion follow suit – the positive PR impact would surely far outweigh the negative.

And from a purely commercial perspective, the pink pound factor in this notably affluent area would be certain to boost revenues.

Even though they're charging entry to PP I'd still like to believe it's about something more than raking in the pounds - but I do take your point.
