So people are moaning about the fact they sold their house. They didn't have to sell, they chose to. Now the ones that are left have a lot of bargaining power. Nothing wrong with that.

Isn't this a load of shite? Liverpool are surely only buying the properties in the street adjacent to the main stand. As one of the comments on the article suggested, go on google street view several streets away and there are plenty of boarded up houses. There may once have been a community there but like a lot of areas in big cities, times change.

Wasnt that suggested at The Goldstone so that the East Terrace could be extended but the residents of Newtown(?) Rd refused to sell and co-operate with the plan..
I think the houses alongside Goldstone Lane would have been too expensive to acquire back in the 1970's and 1980's to even make it a viable proposition.
 






I'm staggered that some posters on this thread seem to imagine that a hidden conspiracy by big American business interests can be countered by individual householders holding out for a better price for their properties.
