Good to know it's not just me then!

I'd intended writing a complaint anyway. I'd always resisted signing up for the SW package. Usually I'm at the games so I've always considered it of little value considering the fee. However I was 'cold called' into taking a short trial for a few quid, which I accepted. However when the trial period ended they automatically deducted an annual fee of £34.99 from my account. No warning or mention of this was made during the cold call. I didn't even know it was SW (until my bank told me when I reported an 'unknown' transaction on my bank statement). Whilst not entirely pleased, I decided to let the issue drop, deciding instead to see how much use I would get out of SW over a 12 month period. If a lot then I would renew again in the future, however if on the rare day I wish to hear our SCR commentary it is unavailable (like today) then I feel miffed all over again.

Have sent an email today to them outlining my grievance with the service (today) and practice of taking annual fees without confirmation (in the circumstance described).

Long Sault, actually....
If you're not running Windows XP or Vista with Windows Media Player 11, you're shit out of luck thanks to Moicrosoft and its proprietary Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology.

I use a Mac, so I'll be cancelling my Seagulls World subscription with an e-mail to Premium TV and to the Club explaining why.

Well, despite the warnings popping up the commentary has worked for me on my mac, up to this week at least.

It worked for me up until last weekend, which is where I first encountered the issue.

This following is what I found from Flip4Mac when searching the web.

"There are NO players for OS X that support WM DRM. This is a Microsoft licensing issue and there is no way around it.

Microsoft has decided that there will be no WM DRM playback on any platform other than Windows, and until they change their mind, that is how it will stay. We at Flip4Mac would love to offer support for it, but as you now know it's out of our hands."
