Probably easier to say who I think we will lose. Going by the rumours, it could be Pedro, Mitoma, Bart, O'Riley, Lamptey, JPVH, Baleba and Pervis. All I can say is I f***ing hope not. This, it would seem, is the eternal issue with clubs like ours, you start to put a promising 11 together, and in come the vultures, but then I guess we do the same to those below us in the pecking order. I was thinking back to the 70's and 80's where teams stayed pretty stable season after season ( at least my fading memory sees it that way)
Going by Rumours… FFS

In the same window...are there not in fact two transfer windows this summer. One closes on 10th June and reopens about a week later

Yes technically there are but I’m sure for rules like loan moves they will count it as two parts of the same summer window.

It’s only been done like that to allow clubs to sign players for the World Club Cup and not have the window close mid August as the summer window can only be open for a certain number of weeks.

Why FFS, I acknowledged I was looking at the rumours. How else do you answer the question posed by the OP, clair f***ing voyance
It’s a f***ing dig at the complete and utter shit show that is transfer window rumours - not a personal attack on you. Clairvoyant use is probably more f***ing use - especially when it comes to player movements at our club!!!

It's quite odd that the Official Brighton social media account has been posting pictures of Albion players on international duty including Barco who it would appear is very soon to be an ex-Brighton player, with Strasbourg's obligation to buy clause kicking in imminently. (Although he was pictured with a potential Milneresque Experience pro replacement 😁)

Or maybe we shouldn’t believe all we read.

Indeed, but given it was Naylor who posted the fact the obligation to buy clause was in the Loan deal, most people have assumed it to be true.

As an aside, Naylor and Ornstein have both now posted that we have bid £34m for the young Greek lad with the speculation that Pedro is almost certainly off.

Are they UEFA rules or FIFA rules, actually never mind, we all know rules are there to be bent.
Meanwhile I'm going to stick my neck out MITOMA will not go anywhere.

If there was an obligation he would be a Strasbourg player by now and not touted as an Albion player on international duty. The plot thickens 🤣

It's odd, but at the same time, the camera guy or person who runs socials, are going to be the least looped in to player in and outs.

Bloom and Barber will keep a very tight circle of who is involved in potential sales, as risk of leaks to press etc.

So I'd basically not read anything into a guy that's paid to find pictures of the team and post them online.

Yes, I was wondering exactly when the loan would have ended, and would have assumed 31st May, but possibly they are waiting until after the International Break to announce the deal, if indeed it is taking place.

The rules around transfer windows are governed by FIFA. They set how long they can be etc. The summer window can be a maximum of 12 weeks so the mini closure allows clubs to register new players for the World Club Cup.

In reality it doesn’t make much difference to anyone though as although the window is technically closed everyone will still be working on deals and anything agreed during the 6 day closure will become official when the window reopens
