brighton, actually
why is anyone going to this chavfest anymore, ESPECIALLY when its in Lewes- the base of so much opposition of the club's Flamer plans..?

I'd rather spend my beer tokens in Brighton&Hove..

but hey, if you must go, just don't get caught- disguise drinks in normal cola/soda bottles etc, or in some fruit..?

Lewes ... the town that delivered THOUSANDS of signatures, collected in just one week, to a petition opposing the District Council's stance on the stadium.

I think you'll find that such opposition as there was was mainly based in Falmer, Kingston and Telscombe Cliffs.

It's being infested by feral chavs who drink Carlsberg in the street and lob bangers at random innocent people in the street. Aforesaid feral chavs will of course be the only ones dumb enough to have their alcohol confiscated in the street.

Its a load of pony anyway. People only go as its the "trendy" thing to do. Id rather be sitting in a boozer in town with loads of crumpet lurking than be crammed in tight streets and getting there on packed trains. Basically, Lewes is just full of even more wankers on one night of the year! Been there and seen it once and wont go again thank you!

Is it not a bye law in Sussex that you are not permitted to drink alcohol in the streets but there are insufficient 'old bill' about to enforce it.

Also does anybody know when Newicks is as it was good last year.

Ah! That'll explain why nobody has ever burnt a real live Catholic at the Lewes Bonfire Celebrations, then.

I dont suppose De vecchi is Catholic....?

Its illegal to drink on the streets or in public anywhere in Brighton and Hove. I witnessed an attack on a women at the level the other week, after complaining to the police and questioning whether drinking had been banned on the level, I was told its illegal to drink anywhere in public. They stated it is almost impossible to enforce on places such as the beach and in parks if groups are drinking, however it helps them traget trouble makers.

Can't stand Bonfire night. My mate is a member of the Cliffe Society and he always dresses up like a Teddy Bear.
Thankfully I'll be off to see the Reverend Al Green at the Albert Hall on the 5th Nov.
