Without this, with chance after half-chance missed, our players eventually get demoralised & average opponents get a lift.

I realise we ain't going to get a Charlie Austin or Glenn Murray, both PL bound for various reasons, but someone like Austin would give us a massive chance of promotion.

If this season fizzles out, Bruno and Buckley and possibly others, will move on to the PL in Summer 2013.

Tony Bloom must act now.

That sums it up in a nutshell.

Bruno will be off to the PL in the Summer if we don' get promoted. Heard it from the horses mouth, and Buckley is class .. how long before Gus/TB do another Noone/Bennett and maintain the selling club image?

All could dramatically change for the better, if TB/Gus pull their finger out in the next few weeks, with a true finisher.

So it looks like, as a club, we're not making money and yet people post threads like this.. It's bizarre!

Maybe Bloom is happy with the progress? Maybe he made money by being smart and patient? Maybe he doesn't want to spend money we don't have on the gamble of making the Premiership?

Why the urgency? Can't we just enjoy the race and see if we can magic up something special without risking financial stability and success long term?

So many damn questions!!!

Cardiff (with money), and Palace and Boro with peanuts, are showing great urgency.

Because:

From Summer 2013, the PL money goes up another 50%, and the PL parachute payments become astronomical.

So that any PL relegated from now on, will have a long term collosal financial advantage over the likes of Brighton.

This really is the season to get promoted.

We are so close. A great striker apart from the goals, with give us starting 11 a huge lift in each game, as dominance gives us leads and wins. A virtuous circle.

This is all true.

I don't know how Boro and CP do it with low crowds in deprived areas? Great coaching and scouting I suppose.

When financial FairPlay kicks in we'll be in good shape, as long as we don't spend money we don't have so the books look tidy. With a large stadium AND fan base we'll be in an AMAZING position to push on, without over stretching and risking anything for short termism.

Getting into the PL this season isn't as urgent as you make out, we're in one of the most competitive leagues in the world and are doing alright - enjoy it! The Premiership will come in time and we'll be in a position to take advantage of it.

It's not doom and gloom.
It's just that final piece in the jigsaw (we are so close) being a quality finisher, will lift us another level.

Otherwise, all O'Driscoll and others have to do is to let the 'rope a dope' routine work, see us run of energy and ideas and grab a point or three from us.

Act now, and we will also retain our better players next Summer.

Gus knows. In his interviews on Radio Sussex which I personally like, are very candid about the striker issue.

Over to you Tony.

I don't think Bruno is good enough for PL any player with real pace and quality he gets found out in my opinion.

It's certainly true that we're just one lethal striker short of being massive promotion contender. But for anyone to demand that Tony Bloom stumps up the money - show the bloke some bloody respect.

Not demanding, but fans are allowed to express opinions.

Unfortunately for you we live in a democracy with free speech.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
How many times did CMS win headers against their big back two today! Not very many! And how many times did Kuzcack kick it upfield today, rather than build from the back! Loads! More than any other game that I've seen this season. If we're going to play that sort of game we need a 6 foot 4 target man! That is all!

TB will want this too.

I remember a rare interview he gave c. February time, where he in a relaxed manner he admitted he would take PL football now and (without any implied pressure on Gus), made it plain that he'd take a promotion now ahead of any '5 year plan'.

I expect Gus/Tony will take action in the transfer market in January.

Break the bank and sign Charlie Austin. I watched him against us at there place and he works hard and holds it up well and is a great target man as well as a good finisher
Plus Gus knows him from Swindon
