And no, I don't mean a manager who isn't 100% supportive of us getting to Falmer but someone who isn't going to up and leave using the "Falmer Clause" as an excuse. Forget Mr Prescott for a minute, he's getting the "We Want Falmer" message loud and clear and there's a whole lot of campaigning effort going towards him making the right decision on the planning application and I'm not under-estimating the need to keep the pressure on him.

But we want a new manager NOW! And we want someone who is prepared to accept the Albion as it is TODAY and get on with the job of keeping us top of the League. So if someone is ONLY prepared to take the job on the condition that he can can piss off any time he likes and use his current working conditions as an excuse then I'd rather he didn't apply for the job in the first place.

When the managers go for the job, they know the situation from the beginning. It's not as if it's a new problem.

A manager is there to MANAGE - not worry about stadiums, crowd sizes, etc - that's the jon for the chairman.

Why do I get the feeling we wont install a enw boss until AFTER the Falmer verdict by Prescott...as in Booker takes charge for now.

nah maybe not...I hope, although I still would'nt mind Booker taking charge IMO

None of them care about Falmer when they come here because we take them off the dole.

It's a ready made excuse to leave

Step forward Adams, Taylor, Coppell and the next succesful manager we get.

Well Coppell knew about Falmer and had accepted that but a better offer came in and he was off!!!! This can't be a yearly occurance as we can never settle. How about trying within Brooker or Wilkins??

The Inspector's Report will be ready by then - and this will recommend approval or otherwise - but Prescott's decision will follow. And may not be this side of Christmas.

Wehn it boils down it it the next manager wil be in charge when the flame rdecision is made and then whoever it is will want to stay knowing that they will be onto a great thing when it is built.

I'm afraid that would limit us too much in our selection process, and that's what leaves you with Hinshelwood in charge.

The reality is that we will struggle to get a manager of the right calabre as it is, without stipulating that this is "THE JOB" for them. Truth is, someone prepared to work under the circumstances we currently find ourselves in AND have the pedigree we require, is a tough ask.
