I fancy going to Russia v Wales, that will be an interesting game.

I reckon Scotland will beat Holland.

Shame. I would have liked Scotland to qualify, just so we could enjoy sending them home. Far better for us to humiliate them than the Dutch.

Surely they're all forgone conclusions: Turkey, Holland, Croatia, Russia and Spain to qualify?

My Scottish work colleague reckons Holland will be quaking now...he's super confident of winning.

How many times are we going to have to watch Gemmill scoring against Holland in '78 on telly between now and the first leg?

Almost as many times as we will hear/be subjected to the words "of course his Uncle was World Cup winner with England in 1966" during the Rugby World Cup.

Was having a pop at the unimaginitive nature of telly Jambo, not the Scots - I want them to get through.

Who are you referring to? I don't know much about rugby at all so I've no idea who that is.

Correct. Only mentioned once as far I know in yesterday's game. I actually quite like watching Gemmill's goal over and over as it makes the hairs stand on the back of my head. On the other hand every time I see the Geoff Hurst goal and hear the words "some people are on the pitch, they think it's all over" I feel like throwing a brick at the telly.:shootself

The whole team were brothers of mine .

If it irks the jocks to keep hearing aboot our wee World Cup Trophy win - then this is very unfortunate, and I would just like to comfort those lads by mentioning that England won by a 2 goal margin, the Germans should play to the whistle because they thought it was all over. Well it is now. :clap2: :bounce: :salute:

I don't mind them showing Gemmill's goal against the Dutch - as long as they show highlight of all of Scotland's other group games from that particluar world cup. :lolol:

Yes I always liked it when Scotland fans chanted 'Argentina' after our 2nd round defeat in 1998 (that's the one after you've gone home Jambo). I find as a riposte 'Costa Rica' fits quite well!

We've had our revenge over Argentina, will Scotland ever be good enough to beat Costa Rica? Or Peru? Or Iran? Probably yes as they've improved enough to beat the Faroes.
