Quote from Gulls fan....."You can't stand in the way of a man's ambition, unfortunately. Leroy has done a fantastic job with a squad, bar one or two, which he inherited from Loser MacFarland.Added to which he has had little or no money to play with. If he goes, Brighton will have one of the brightest young hopefuls in management."

Bring him on.

If it is LR, i hope he has some good contacts in the game because he will need to get some decent loan signings in if DK allows it in the budget .

Sounds like a good option. So long as it doesn't cost too much to get him here.

Liam Rosenior.

Good player and would provide the speed and skill we desperately need from midfield.

I think he'd be an interesting choice, he's not really any less experienced than Dowie, and Dowie only did well with Oldham last season after spending loads of cash.

Bearing in mind Torquay traditionally struggle every year, have no money, and have a big problem attracting players because of their geographical location and the lack of funds to compensate players for this (unlike Plymouth). I think it sounds like he's done a great job with them.

You don't have to have been a top player to be a good manager: witness Micky Adams and Glenn Hoddle if proof was needed.

He certainly soes sound an interesting prospect, would be interesting to see the Torquay response if we were to 'poach' him.

I confess to not knowing a great deal about him but the quote from LB fills me with confidence - sounds like he'd get the problem with the lack of creativity in midfield sorted out...

Still it ain't over til the fat lady sings!

So who the :censored: knows who's going to be named our manager next week!?!

Yep, was a bit worried when I read this on teletext last night as I don't know too much about him, but the more I read the more I like.

A bright, young manager who wants to play attacking football.

Micky Adams MarkII?

I'd be happy with Rosenior, and Liam sounds like a possibilty as well.

Todays Daily Telegraph says he is the front runner for the job. Given whats gone before, it would be unlikely that DK would ask permission to speak to him if he was not very serious - especially with the number of "big names" being linked to the post.

Give him a go, he may even stay longer than a year. :lolol:
