Leon dissapointed me hugely yesterday. I thought he was rubbish and did very little. After spening all week telling Mrs Gkover how good he was, she pointed out to me yesterday that he was rubbish.

I know 4 goals from 4 games is good and he was mustard against QPR but I saw some worrying signs yesterday. He was intimidated and bullied by the Luton back 4 who kept nudging and kicking him and patting him on the head in a patronising manner.

He looked very fed up and not up for it at all. He needs to toughen up and rise above it or it will be a very long season for him. All the teams will say just wind Knight up and he'll sulk which it looked to me what he was doing yesterday. The best answer is for him to use his skill and rip them apart and hit the back of the net.

He needs to buck his ideas up or he will lose his place to McPhee eventually.

I know some people will disagree but Coppell needs to nip this in the bud very early.

When he was brought down the ref accused him of diving and told him to get up.

Funny that, as I always thought that if the ref thought you were diving, you got booked for it.

He didn't until he started moaning about the amount of stick he was getting from their defenders.

QPR are the bookies favourites to win this Division. They could not handle Neon Light. He will score goals throughout this season but, unlike Bobby, he has to have a decent partner alongside him. I believe that Coppell will ensure that he does.

I though he coped pretty well overall and was surpised he didn't bite earlier given the stick he got all the way through the game.
Look at the tactics they had to resort to. I do agree he will get plenty more of the same this season and a decent partner would be great if we could find one to relieve the pressure.
The way he took the piss out wide in that late move that started with him showing his marker the ball, then breezed effortlessly into the box, and floated a great ball from the byline was a cracking moment.

He didn't show so well at Barnsley either, but then supporters of other teams who he has played for warned us that he would be like this when he is kicked all over the place.

I'm sure we'll see enough good play from him throughout the season.

He just needs to keep going for the whole game and keep looking for the ball. I'm sure Coppell will know how to get him to play.

Won a free kick from which, but for a cracking stop by their keeper, Carpenter would have scored. Indirectly set up the second by beating two men wide on the right and crossing, which fell to Oatway. Looked to take people on all game, quick, direct, tricky, got kicked from here to next Thursday and generally looked a handful until being taken off.

Yep - useless.

I thought he did very well. He will find that plenty of teams try to kick him out of the game, and he will find it difficult on the days when he gets no protection from the ref.

As Stumpy Tim right points out, it happened to Zamora as well at times.

Strikers deliver what is needed mainly by having "moments". Expecting 100 per cent achievement throughout the game is the same thing as wanting to watch a One Man Team.

Knight had a couple of moments yesterday. That'll do for me.

It's the mid-field that needs to deliver (collectively) the 100 per cent achievement. That's how the striker achieves his moment.

Yesterday I thought the mid-field were disappointing, but - given the pathetic opposition - it barely mattered.

Well I'm glad I wasn't watching the one you were, Gareth. Of what exactly do you think he did 'nothing of the sort'? Are you claiming he didn't win the free kick from which Carpenter almost scored? Or that he didn't get past two to cross for the second? Or he didn't look a handful? What exactly?

wise words brackers old boy .......... he skinned their centre-backs on a few occasions, and almost scored a couple. The team will tell him what they expect from him. Early days Gareth my friend. Have faith.

I find it endearing the way he always looks so surprised to hear the crowd sing his name.

hopefully he will not be another Brian Wade, in fairness to him he was being stamped on and though he milked it a bit diving about the place the service to him wasnt anywhere as good as it shouldve been to him. 100% credit when he chased ball that all others thought going out play (was near away fans corner) got in pity no one else had faith in him as he had no options no one to cross it to, i stood up and applauded it was right in front of me. I very rarely stand up and applaud. I do think after having his hand stamped on he may need to go out at Plymouth with thick gloves, cycling helmit, cricketers protection and padded shoulders like those Americans in order to survive injury though!

Totally agree Lord B. Leon did ok on saturday. I doubt very much whether he is going to be a player that will be involved for the full 90 minutes every match, players of his ilk just tend to make the most of the opportunities that they get.

Even so he made the odd run out wide and looked to get in quality crosses, which shows that he is more than just a goal poacher.

Also he was kicked all over the pitch and handled it pretty well. my favourite moment was when he shoulder charged a Luton giant off the ball and conceded a free kick, he can dish it out as well.

It may not have been his best game, but his best game was hardly required on saturday, and I think the same applied to the rest of the team. It was just too easy.

We'll have to agree to differ, Gareth old bean. If by having an easier Saturday you mean they don't have to kick someone up in the air every two minutes in case he mugs them then yes, maybe. They've already had two easier games this season from which they picked up six points. Along with most other posters I reckon they looked like strugglers.

I'll take the three points however they come and however differently we see them, though.
