Most of the information on him at the moment seems to be stale synoptics from the original post in the Hull Daily Mail. Even the Irish Independent regurgitates the original article last hour.

So the news is basically that the local paper in Hull suggested yesterday that he would sign within 24 hours.

It's another 'that bloke who used to manage Stockport County who was supposed to be coming to us a few years back' all over again!

I am only continuing to follow this thread out of curiosity. But the fact that he still doesn't appear to have made his mind up after this time is laughable. Imagine if it was like this on the pitch.

SCENE: The pitch. Lenihan has the ball at his feet.

Lenihan B (for it is he): "Oooh, now shall I pass this forward, or to one of my fellow defenders. Decisions, decisions!"

An opposing forward: " THWACK ".

This may come back to haunt me, but at the moment I think we are better off out of it....

Think about it, if he lived in Hull, why would he go home on a plane?

You'd think he'd take local souvenirs back for family and friends, I don't know how many fat birds you can fit in a suitcase or hand luggage but I can't imagine it's many.

Sources at our end suggesting he's due to take his third look around our training ground in the morning before signing for the fourth time.

In all honesty I'd be shocked if he came here, it's a year too early for our development squad. As our upgrade wasn't finished in time we're still stuck playing the reserves of non league teams. Everyone knows he'd be better off at Brighton.

Perhaps you haven't got any pens that work.

And didn't that work out well for him? The Albion dodging a bullet on Gannon was so lucky for us, maybe this Lenihan guy's indecision will work out the same.

Is it indecision or just taking the time available to get it right?

Who knows? He is taking a hell of a long time to make his mind up though. People have made decisions to emigrate to the other side of the world in less time.

Can't blame him. Most would choose Premier League football (lets not forget, FA Cup Finalists, and convincingly stayed up) over a Championship team. Even if we're offering decent wages (£5k-7k a week) they'll quite happily throw an extra few grand a week at him which makes a difference.

I really don't think stadiums and training grounds, and it is not as if Hull have bad either of those, matter THAT much to players.
