Just found out from work colleague Leeds Utd are in fact worth 10mil, the ground is in fact owned by the parent company and not Leeds Utd. This means anyone willing to buy the club will get the club for £0.00 but will also be taking on their debts of £80 mil.
I heard from someone that apparently Leeds "mortgaged" the potential transfer fees on their players when transfer fees were at an all time high, and they now have "negative equity" on these players. This, is why they are still paying £500,000 a year on Robbie Fowler, being the interest and capital repayments on the money that they borrowed over and above what they got for him when he went to Man City.
