Leeds United Football Club,
it makes me laugh to see you blub,
you went to Wembley to paint the town,
but thanks to Donny you're staying down.

The pragamist in me wanted them to win. However, these photos are funny!

Thank you for those photos. It's one of the true pleasures of all these sudden death games - watching grown men and women crying because their football team lost one game. My wife (who has only ever been to one football match) loves watching the post-match bits to see the smiling winners and the gracious losers - me? I love the tears! Leicester fans were particularly good on being relegated.

Can anyone on here honestly say that they remember seeing anyone crying after we had been beaten by Notts County back in 91, can't say I did, is it just that the modern football fan is more in touch with their feelings?

Wendy wilkins was crying on the pitch if I remember rightly.

Interesting to see Leeds with a gambling company as their sponsor. Don't all their problems stem from the fact that they gambled £140m on getting to - and staying in - the Premiership, but failing?

I think I may have sniffed a bit.

But I was fourteen years old, and a girl, and had a 24 hour, sleepless coach ride from the South of France to get to Wembley.

Not some overweight, balding, forty eight year old northern bloke.

I thought Yorkshire folk were supposed to be tough as old boots, a breed of their own? Another myth debunked.
