Trains to Leeds are fecked right up on the 29th.

It will take your 4 hours from London and you'll have to go via Derby or Sheffield or take a bus between Stevenage and Peterbro

However it has only cost £12 from London to Sheffield and then £7 from Sheffield to Leeds, so it can done.

It is annoying as this should have been a really easy game to do on the train.

Though the return is very tight with the last train for Sheffield leaving 8 minutes after the first train after the game from Leeds gets in.

I did notice that, however we have a 16 seater minibus picking us up from the Premier Lodge across the road from the ground to take us to Sheffield for £7 each.

So should get some pub time in Sheffield, Burger King at the station and some apples for the journey to London.

It's pay on the day

I called the Leeds ticket office yesterday. WIth their financial predicament and the expected 20,000 empty seats they are unsurprisingly making it pay on the day. For £25.

Nat Express coach return from London is only £15 - and takes 4 hours - same as the train.

I just asked the Leeds ticketing manager all of three seconds ago and that is baloney. And we might have a few enpty seats but not quite 20k.

It will come down to a police decision to be made probably a week before the game, but she is 98% certain it will not go to pay on the gate though there is a small chance it may. We have a section of 'fans' who pay into the away end when Leeds do this, to make 'friends' with the visitors.

And to whoever posted about allocations - you can have 5,900 if you wanted, the whole upper/lower south stand and the cheese wedge.

To Starry: Sorry! I was only quoting what I was told yesterday by yer man on the phones. He said it was a category C game and I could "Choose from East Upper or West Stand for £25 - walk in, no problem!"

How many Elland Road games have been all ticket so far? And why on earth would this one need to be?

Can't see the Leeds board turning away walking 25 quids when they've got massive debts, thousands of empty seats and administration threatened. Can you?

I think when people on here were talking about pay on the gate they were wanting to pay on the gate and get into the away end. Correct me if I am wrong but that was the impression I got and was refering to when I said it wouldn;t be pay on the gate.

Unless you're incredibley fit and healthjy I'd avoid the east upper, heh. Its stair after stair after stair after stair to get up there and if you've had a few beers getting to the top gets a little interesting.

Two South Stand Lower tickets (Area FA4 - behind the goal) arrived this morning. Aren't they small?

And they've got a machine readable barcode.

You don't give up any part, we don't have stewards on our gates, well there are a couple to help out if people can't figure it out etc.

See the barcode part - you put that into the machine on the turnstile, it opens the turnstile and you can walk through.

I rang Leeds when I thought the game was in Feb they told me NO away fans can pay on the gate ever.
