Definitely. He’s on a hiding to nothing - they’re flying, with seemingly a good team spirit. If he doesn’t settle very quickly and perform (and put the effort in) they’ll turn on him rapidly. Couple of Arsenal ST mates have already said as much in messages today
And Arteta won't take any nonsense from him.

Happy with the deal tbh. He will do well at Arsenal and will contribute, perhaps more consistently than he did here. Who knows?
He clearly threw his toys out of the pram when we told him we would apply the one year option in his contract as he saw an early lucrative move put on hold.
The result is he gets what he wants and we make another significant profit.
His place in the side is already filled and as so often if late we move on with little or no detrimental effect.
Win:Win 👍
Still booing him.

I'm in the 'fair enough, good outcome for all concerned' camp.

He's been electric for us on occasion and I'm sad it has ended this way, but I hope to see him win the league and play CL football up the Arse.

But spare a thought for poor Dibley. That's his dream move scuppered again.

He’s out of contract in the summer and hasn’t signed a new one….so Palace might lose him on a free as well. That would’t be funny at all, would it

Did he pass the medical? Never mind the shadows under eyes, always looked a bit yellow (jaundiced?) to me.
I'm a bit sad but on balance happy if we re-invest in the squad.

You’re right! Trossard did not do himself or the club any favours.
Why ? He’s moved to the team at the top of the premier league. It’s worked out fine for him

Are we the victims of our own success?

When Maupay failed to score for a few games, I commented that Maupay hadn't suddenly got worse, but that the club had moved on without him. I also commented that it took us a long time to realise that we were a worse team with Maupay in it.

Are we seeing the same with Trossard? Lallana's clip tells us that the club isn't concerned that Trossard is leaving. Maupay and Trossard are no longer with us, but we are scoring for fun. 5-1, 4-1, 3-0. This didn't happen when they were in the team. Goals are now coming from all over the pitch. We will miss Trossard's contributions. We wish him well. But let nobody fear his departure will hinder or prevent our progress.

The club is bigger than any player.
