Whether De Zerbi says anything to the press or not, I'm sure it'd all get out via Trossard's agent anyway.
This is what i can't (be bothered to) work out.
Did the agent go public before de zerbi admitted the bust up?
Or possibly de zerbi and the club knew it was coming so went public in advance.
It did seem tbe club were trying g to keep it quiet with the 'calf Injury'. But de zerbi was also giving some somewhat heavy hints he though trossard was a bit lazy before the world Cup.
Who f*cking knows.

No problem with the current manager but doesn't mean I have to agree with every single thing he says or does. Yes I do understand that some people right now would buy scent candles smelling like RDZs farts if they were available and that is entirely logical. But I look at the situations individually and sometimes not everything is perfect. The tone here around this subject would be a lot of different if the last couple of results looked any different.

Very different situation. Club made no comments (apart from one night before the deal was done), Cucurella and his agent didn't release public statements about internal issues, no one really knows if Cucurella was professional in training under the negotiations and so forth. There was nothing indicating a rift between Cucurella and staff/manager/players, nothing signalling that Brighton would be desperate to get rid of him, which is certainly different to the current situation (despite the damage limitation thingie today where the club is essentially saying that Tross could give his manager a blowjob and all while be fine).
Nothing apart from him handing in a formal transfer request! 🤷‍♂️

It is interesting to see Solly March's RDZ comments and then contrast that to his public criticism of Trossard. I suspect this has been brewing pre-WC , not just not signing the contract but maybe Trossard's approach to training and games , he certainly can go absent and its pretty clear to see RDZ want's an intensity about the play which perhaps he can't deliver. It would have been better for him to ask for a break to get his head straight rather than let the conflict drive his future, hopefully both sides can get back together which is surely in everyone's best interest.
Almost like these antics have been given a free pass previously, due to his previous importance to the team?

This thread was going so well and we all seemed more or less in unanimous agreement until the last few pages…funny that…was quite refreshing tbh (bit like RDZ’s press conferences.)

How no one has pointed out the bleeding obvious yet is beyond me. We all know how it works surely?! The club had been approached for their statement regarding the one they’d been given by LT’s idiotic/illiterate agent (prior to release) and had no choice but to jump first. It’s just simply the way in which these things always work. We KNEW it was coming!!

The LFC press conference was OBVIOUSLY a well thought through, calculated PR effort by the club (there’s a reason our club is unilaterally commended for how it’s run) executed pretty darn well in my opinion by a man whose command of the English language is still in development. (He is learning SO QUICKLY, and as someone who has always struggled with learning new languages I am very impressed!) He did a good job! He is doing a GREAT job. He was firm but measured, honest but controlled. It wasn’t emotional or bitter or threatening. It has done us no harm whatsoever IMO (under the circumstances) and the club had no choice, their hand was forced, clearly!

The clubs approach re this and many, many other reports of a similar nature over the years have NEVER been discussed publicly by choice, and that is not on RDZ.

If Trossard wants decent money he will need to stay in the Premier League.
Only struggling teams will pay a decent price.
This one will run until deadline day and then a desperate West Ham will pay an acceptable fee to Tony Bloom.
Plus, Stratford International is across the road and he could pop home easily.
You heard it here first.

Once Trossard and his agent have blurted out their stuff, every option is sub-optimal.

Fine him?- sub-optimal;
Don't fine him?- sub-optimal;
Make a club statement?- sub-optimal;
Keep quiet- sub-optimal;
Fingers in ears - meh, meh, meh - ignore it? - sub-optimal;
Ask Swansman what to do?- sub-optimal;
Make player train alone?- sub-optimal;
Make player train with the yoof?- sub-optimal;
Sell-off for a slightly lower price (if there's a buyer)?- sub-optimal.
one more based on the original quote:

needs to finish his LEGO castle - sub-optimal

Unfortunately for him Eurostar trains don't stop at Stratford International.

No chance he'll get the move he (probably) thinks he should - if not abroad, WHU is a good shout.

Love the way people say he wants a big move to set him up for life. He's earning would be in the region of £5/6m since he's been here and a new contract would likely be for more. If you can't set yourself up for life with those figures you must be on self destruct.

According to this morning's Independent anyway. If true how much for? and would Arsenal be interested and be prepared to do a deal?
So Brighton have offered him? That's strange given the press release.
