I don't know much about them but it should be easy enough to find one that doesn't suck. Vacuum cleaners on the other hand...

Is there such a thing as a leaf sucker?

Surely it's better to suck them up and shred them, rather than move them to let them settle elsewhere?

Broom, dustpan and brush.
I call leaf blowers ‘a blow cut grass from A to B machine’ I have noticed many people using these machines to blow grass into the road after cutting their front lawn.

Yeah I've got one and a leaf blower.

Don't use either. Leaf vacuum gets blocked easily and you spend more time declogging it. Leaf blower is just pointless as you just end up blowing leaves all over the place. Much easier to use a rake and then a shovel. The ones on my lawn just stay there until the lawn mower makes its first appearance of the year.

Yes. Buy a brush instead.

Leaf blowers are inefficient, environmentally unfriendly and unnecessary.

This. I hate leaf blowers with a passion. They are fairly useless at the job they are intended for and end up blowing dust into the air, which is not good for health and can be dispruptive for wildlife. The petrol ones throw out a ridiculous amount of pollution. Then there's the noise they make, which can be unbearable. People have them on for hours, chasing that last leaf around the garden when it would have been just as quick and much kinder to the environment to just use a rake/broom.

There's a guy from the City who uses a petrol one across the street from my house for at least half-an-hour, a couple of times a week. I've watched him blow leaves and debris from the pavement and grass verge into the road. He makes no attempt to pick up the debris once he's finished and within a couple of hours enough cars have driven past to blow it all back on to the pavement

Please don't buy one of those awful machines, for the good of everyone nearby.

Have you thought about starting a Vlog to document the entirety of your every day thoughts, I think there’s some efficiency gains to be had here?

Only 74 days to go…

" My friend " ? Are you just a little ashamed to say that you want one?
Most his posts start with 'My friend'
Probably the most pointless poster on this board

Yes. Mine does both.

I rarely use the vacuum feature though. The bag fills up too fast, and since I only need to get the leaves to the curb for pickup, blowing them is easier.

I have a corded electric leaf blower and it is amazing. If you have a large yard with a lot of trees, it'll save you hours of work. If you have a small yard, probably not worth it, and maybe even a net negative since it's hard to precision blow leaves. It's for moving a large bulk of leaves.

I would never buy a gas one though. Horribly noisy, polluting and heavy to lug around.
