Before the Fans' Forum at Corals' Stadium, I had a brief conversation with Steve Coppell, who was talking about Forest Green.

He reckons it's a really nice place with a lovely pub.

Thankfully, we're at home.

:lolol:

But don't underestimate the managerial skills of the great Colin Addison.

Today’s game:

Forest Green 2 – 5 Exeter City

If the club do try and make this game the "home cup" game for season ticket holders, it will be taking the piss out of people who have been paying over the top prices for sub standard facilities for a number of years now, with little complaint. Most are aware the situation the club is in, was not of the present boards making. It is usual custom & practise for clubs to reduce prices in the early rounds of this competition. Thus you could have a situation where a casual supporter pays for example £12 to get in while season ticket holders are using a "voucher" they have in effect paid around £20 for.

Don't even think about it Mr Perry! It would be one piss take too many!

Just looked at that forum of theirs. They seem to be getting a little excited about playing such a big club.
Maybe they're looking forward to watching their team in a decent League standard stadium! :lolol:

I have worried about exactly this scenario with the "First Cup Game" ticket since the season tickets were sent out. It was destined to happen.

HOWEVER, the club can't take the piss and should immediately announce that it will not be the match included in the season ticket pack.

I see it's on the official web site already.

Err, actually, there's no mention of tickets yet.

If the club make this our cup game I'm definately complaining cos I'm not taking an afternoon off work and driving a 150 mile round trip for a tinpot cup game. Cup ticket should be for FA or league cup only if you ask me
