Quite possible as the South Stand used to be the favourite of those travelling down from Haywards Heath. Was this some corporate day out?
In the later 60's, I sat for a couple of (sparely populated) games in the South, over to the west side of the goal. (Smith, Napiers, Spearrit, Duffy, Templeman)
Sorry to be picky, but Duffy joined in 1970.
I know as we debuted on the same day!![]()
My one and only visit to the south stand was for my very first match at the Goldstone and sat in those seats. It was a friendly game against Chelsea which we lost 2-0.
That firm was called the south stand suicide squad,![]()
If any of the old Clifton boys post on here![]()
