Last Night's Ref

I thought the ref was poor to say the least last night.

There were 2 free kick's just outside the box at the west end, one for us in the 1st half, one for them in the 2nd.

For our free kick his effort at getting the wall back was to shuffle about 8 steps until he got to where their wall was and say - ok lads alright there.

When they had theirs he did the full 10 strides and suddenly he's John Cleese!!!

Did anyone else spot this or am I being paranoid?!

Thought he was reasonable, got the big decisions correct, but I could've missed something.

I thought he wasn't much kop when it came to giving free kicks, cards and talking to a few players who were a little over excitied - ie he didn't! Having said that, QPR fans thought he was terrible as well.

seemed reasonable to me as well - although when watching on tv they don't usually do player cam on the ref...

I thought the ref was OK-ish. It was the linesman in front of the South Stand in the first half that cracked me up. What a wassock.

That cheer he got for giving an obvious offside...

After watching the game again he got most things right.

of course the QPR fans thought he was terrible they lost had a player sent off wot did u expect ?

Watching on the tele he seemed OK, better than ours on Saturday anyway

Consensus seems to be that I was being paranoid - fair enough.

The bit with the south stand linesman was funny. Danny had just given him a rocket for missing something and loads of people around me were mimicking DC ( i think there was a lull in the game at the time).
