OK it was £1.50 for a mere pamphlet, but just about worth the money IMHO for the new manager's column "Mark My Words" (groan) and the picture of Danny on the front with an unfeasibly large finger! He looks like Uma Thurman in "Even Cowgirls get the Blues." And Bob Booker is no longer on the list of staff, so has obviously been fired and that was a cardboard cut-out in the dug out.

I think what happened was ... in the last programme Bob Booker was presumably down as Caretaker Manager.

Now they've replaced him with Mark McGhee, but forgotten to put him back in as Assistant Manager.

Not really much of a conspiracy theory I admit.

I thought of quoting a pre-decimal price, too, but can't remember the price when I started going (my dad used to buy them for me).

I do remember that when the entrance fee went up to 50p my dad thought it was a rip-off, though!!

God I feel old, now!!

And I can remember when they were free!!

(after a good bundle in the North Stand after an Albion goal, programmes that were safe in someones back pocket were often dis-lodged and you had the simple task of swooping on them lying on the floor!!)
