power supply will work,as your vendor states in his item,laptop PSU's work on any voltage or frequency in the world.

You'll need a new plug and one thing which you will find a real pain compared to a desktop, the keyboard will be a US one and thus not '£' sign for a start. A desktop you could get a UK keyboard but with a US laptop you're pretty much stuck with what you've got. Waste of money.

Using a Toshiba Satellite bought in the States to write this. 1Gb RAM and 100Gb hard drive though.

Thanks chaps tbh I really only want it for storing all my music on, watching dvd's and surfing the net while i'm away.
