It's not impossible for Lancs to get a win in this match - they've got to score very quickly today, and tomorrow morning, skittle Durham out in 50 overs and then knock off whatever remains - a big ask but not impossible

And the fact that they need to get those runs quickly could lead to a nervy batting performance. Hopefully.

Certainly looks that way at the start

Lancs only need another 221 to make Durham bat again.

So as I see it the max the Lancs can get is 11 pts leaving them 8 pts adrift of us. Leaaing us to ensure they don't better our points haul in the last game by the said 8 pts.
yes...

best estimate of Lanky's points haul from this game now is perhaps 10

that would leave them 9 pts adrift going into the final game

are Sussex really 1/10 given that scenario....?

we would need a maximum points draw or a win to be sure of the title - anything else leaves the door invitingly ajar...

Is there a weather web cam at either the Rose Bowl or Trent Bridge?

The wet factor needs to included in any what-if calculations.

Not anymore, it isn't.
Underway again.

nice webcam picture at 14:20:05...

Lancashire 46 for 1 in the 17th over

Killeen to Loye

3 slips, gully, point, mid off, mid on, square leg and presumably a fine leg...

a wicket soonish would be nice - Lanky making steady progress towards an 11 pt draw could lead to scenes of tension next week that would push some over the edge...:lolol:
