It's a great pity that as a result of last season's efforts by our local teams there will be less non-league derbies this season.
A couple of years ago, Lewes, Horsham, Worthing and Bognor were all in the same division. Now only Bognor and Lewes will play each other and that isn't exactly a fierce rivalry. Eastbourne Borough are part of the equation this season, but they are new kids on the block really and don't have a longstanding rivalry with any of the clubs that are above County League status.
Let's hope for another successful season so that Worthing and Lewes can renew acquaintances. If Crawley have a crap season they might join in the fun!
