I'll be looking for volunteers to help with my 2 banners (the ones seen regularly on the dugouts at Withdean). so if you see somebody in a suit with 2 banners looking for help-don't be shy! Give me a hand please!

Off to work now but looking forward to this almost as much as an Albion game....

Welcome to our new member Craig-good job well done on JP.

We ARE going to get this stadium-today will show the world that us football fans are worthy of a new stadium and know how to conduct ourselves during a march....unlike the chinless wonders who like killing animals for pleasure.

Trains are not currently running between Lewes and Brighton, because of unfinished weekend engineering works at Falmer.

But they should be back to normal later.

According the NATIONAL Rail Enquiries, the disruption to services between Lewes and Brighton will last until about 4pm.

However, SOUTHERN Customer Services (08451 27 29 20) are saying that they hope to get the line between Lewes and Brighton re-opened at "about half-one / two o'clock".

Steve Coppell?

That's pretty big of him, to be honest, it's not as though he lives round here, so fair play for making the effort (and Micky, but then we know he loves us anyway).

If he's definitely coming, why not post that on a Palace board, to see if any of them will come down and support the march? They love Coppell, so it's only fair to give them a chance to meet one of their heroes, and if we can boost the numbers, everyone's a winner!

I will be wearing my trousers as high up around my waist as possible in honour of Steve. For one day only, until he goes back to having VD.

Please arrive early as poss as it was chaos yesterday, that march had only 4000 ish in it and the city ground to a hault as there is no parking down on the front. can't be actually with you all as I am working, however I have not seen 2 jags yet but TB and JS both got a leaflet yesterday cant promise they read them. Hope the rain stays away my advice is train into the city and walk down to Maderia Drive all the best. PIGIN STRIPES

Agreed, was in Brighton Friday, 2 days before the start of the conference and it was still a nightmare getting in.

The seafront incredibly slow going because of all the barricades and security measure, likewise West Street and the whole area around the Brighton Centre, Metropole and Grand.

Factor in the usual rush hour traffic and the roadworks around Preston Park, and I'd suggest driving in will be a seriously bad idea.

Get the train, even if only from London Road, Hove or Preston Park, and remember: BE NICE TO PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS.

Let the Countryside Alliance types get themselves a reputation for being idiots, if we're nice to people (residents and police included!) it can only benefit our cause.

Have fun, pigin Stripes, don't envy you your job this week
;)

Can't make it.

You'll probably get a police escort, so give them balloons, banners etc to make it look as though they're marching for Falmer, and not just working.

Big  & to all that make it.

I have posted it on the cpfc BBS
