I'm gagging to come but I don't have anyone to go with.

Would have to drive down so can anyone recommend where I should park? I take it the park and ride stops running around 6?

I'm hoping the atmosphere will be good enough to just join in, despite being on my lonesome. I won't look like a total loner will I?
You'll be wiith thousands of fellow Albion fans. You might be on your own,but you won't be alone(if you get my meaning)

Will aim to travel down from London in time to tag along - in vintage Spurs '61 shirt, if that's ok. . .

Ah, there you are SussexSpur. Jumped ship from the Arsegas I notice. How is life in the Metro?

Er, fine, ta, though don't start full-time for another week. Enjoying a bit of time off first, after the dull drag of carting furniture and all kinds of other junk back up the A24.
A reminder of bracing sea breeze can't do any harm though. . .

Where is the Race Hill in relation say, to Falmer station?

I was going to drive to Rottingdean & get the 14 (A) (B) or (C) bus to Old Steine. (Rottingdean being the logistical choice for two car loads).

But Race Hill sounds good - if I knew where it was

Leave the car at Rottingdean but if you were coming in from the Falmer Road end (A27) to get to Rottingdean you would turn right at Woodingdean traffic lights to get to the Race Hill. In fact as you were driving up the hill out of Woodingdean you would find yourself driving alongside the rails of the track.

Prescott and Falmer

The following may be of interest given the march by Albion supporters on the Labour Party Conference tomorrow (Monday 27 September).

I attended the Association of Labour Councillors reception at the Metropole Hotel this evening and lobbied John Prescott in person to make a decision in favour of granting planning permission for the Seagulls at Falmer.

As soon as I mentioned that I was a Councillor on Brighton &Hove City Council, John turned to his Civil Servants with a grin and said: "I know what this is about - its' got to be the Albion".

John Prescott told me that he had been extremely impressed by the campaign by B&H Albion supporters for a stadium at Falmer including the .campaign by The Argus. He told me that during his travels abroad, he had seldom come across a country without a fan who had lobbied him personally to get the Seagulls at Falmer and gave me the example of a recent trip to Japan during which a fan came up and lobbied him for Falmer.

Apart from saving the club, I asked Mr Prescott to consider the social and economic costs to the City of his decision, particularly for employment prospects in East Brighton. John asked me to share with The Argus and all Albion fans that he appreciates the passion that fans have for the club, knows the importance of this issue for our City, and will continue to listen fairly to the concerns of all fans.

Let's hope he listens!

Craig, that's great news to hear.

Sounds like we have to keep the pressure up, wouldn't want to disappoint John.
